Just Do It

So every company (whether it's cars, restaurants, or clothing lines) has a catchy slogan. Slogans are made to try to reach out to the public.

One of my all time favorite slogans has always been Nike's. "Just Do It." Simply and straight to the point. It's known all around the world. I like the fact that it's not long and it's unlike any other store or companies slogan. Anyone of any age could see the Nike "swoosh" and be able to recall it's ever so catchy "Just Do It."

Along with it's catchy phrase the commercials also catch my attention. Whether it's just some athletes playing basketball to music or a girl running to a upbeat track, I can always know when it's a Nike commercial.

Blog Comments

So what do we live for on Facebook? Like many others, when I log onto FB I hope for new notifications or messages. It's what makes us feel so important. On a similar note, thats what makes blogging so fun and worth while. Leaving comments on other people's blogs is what makes blogging so special. If you're a blogger, you should be leaving comments on other blogs, for all the benefits you get from it. Even if you don't have your own blog, blog commenting is a great way to get more information on the subject you're interested and reading about. Another plus, is that if you're just starting off blogging, it's an awesome way to get your name or blog out there.

There are many characteristics of writing an effective blog comment. For instance, if you have a question to the blogger go ahead and ask it. Ask for more opinions if you're confused or just for more knowledge. Believe it or not, blog comments are an excellent way to build relationships with key people in your field. Job wise, commenting on blogs demonstrates that you’re an active member of your "online world", you’re passionate enough to participate in conversations related to your area of expertise, and you’re intelligent enough to add value to conversations.

Public Relations Work

I'd like to think that my dream job or the careers that interest me would have two of the things I love most; communications and sports. PR work that I am interested in are the following:

Public Relations Specialists manage an organization’s public relations. Their job is parallel to an account executive in advertising. Specialists make sure programs are created to match public attitudes, ensuring an organization is publicly embraced. Specialists can either work for an agency or in-house.

Advertising and/or Public Relations are in charge of everything in advertising or public relations excluding sales. Directors manage the planning, production, creation, and budgeting of campaigns. The director of advertising and director of public relations are usually two different positions, but both maintain comparable job responsibilities. The size of the company or organization a director works for determines the scope of their duties.

The Community Relations Intern will enhance their education by working under the direct supervision of and learning from the Coordinator of Community Relations of the Philadelphia Eagles. Will coordinate the receipt and fulfillment of requests for promotional/memorabilia items by community, charity-related, and/or corporate groups. The Human Resources Intern will enhance their education by working under the direct supervision of and learning from the Director of Human Resources of the Philadelphia Eagles. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of various managerial projects and in the completion of all office duties as delegated by the Human Resources staff.
